Julie grew up on a family grain farm near Minnedosa, Manitoba, and attended the University of Manitoba earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. After working at Issues Ink for a year, she was accepted into the two-year journalism program at Ryerson University in downtown Toronto. After graduating from “j-school” this past April, Julie has returned to the Issues Ink team as Staff Writer. When she’s not busy writing, Julie has a passion for all sports, especially hockey and soccer, and also enjoys running, rollerblading, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and travelling.
