Having grown up on a grain farm in Southwest Manitoba, Julie’s love for agriculture bloomed early. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Manitoba, Julie worked at Issues Ink for a year, giving her a taste of the exciting world of publishing and communication. Determined to further her education in this area, she attended the prestigious two-year journalism program at Ryerson University in downtown Toronto, learning writing skills for broadcast, magazine, newspaper and the web in an extremely competitive environment. After obtaining her journalism degree, Julie returned to the Issues Ink team where her passion for getting the story right, competitive spirit, and inquisitive nature helps the editorial team stay on the cutting edge of agriculture.
