Shannon grew up on a cattle farm near Ashern, Manitoba. She graduated from the Creative Communications program at Red River College in Winnipeg and from there has continued to expand her agricultural experience. Shannon has worked her entire career in the agriculture industry as a writer/reporter for a leading agricultural news agency and in the marketing departments of a large Winnipeg-based agribusiness as well as one of the foremost Canadian grain futures companies in Canada. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting the family farm, and taking winter trips somewhere warm.
